Pastry chef Ravneet Gill and her head chef husband Mattie are making their lifelong ambition to open their own restaurant – a reality.

With their genuine passion for meat, fish, seasonal ingredients and knockout deserts, their restaurant will be their take on a traditional English chop-house on their local Chingford High Street. In this series, we’re with Mattie and Ravneet as they embark on this adventure from scratch – turning a building site into a fully-functioning restaurant in a matter of months. We’ll take viewers behind the scenes of what it takes to open a restaurant – from testing and refining recipes for the menu, sourcing incredible suppliers across the country, keeping the renovations on track – but more importantly on budget! They’ve sunk their life savings into this venture and there’s no going back. Across the series, Ravneet and Mattie will cook delicious recipes to follow at home – from succulent burgers and showstopping pavlovas through to hearty pies and classic puddings – all with the pair’s signature twist.

We’ll be there for all the highs and lows right through to opening night when the verdict of their first diners could be make or break!
