Post-war, there was a shocking establishment cover-up of the whole affair, involving Churchill. Wallis Simpson was always painted as the villain of the piece, but in this film, we show how this conveniently drew attention and scrutiny away from Edward.

Featuring brand-new documents and evidence, home movies filmed after the war that have never been broadcast before, colourised archive as well as interviews with experts and personal friends speaking publicly for the very first time, the film – produced and directed by Emmy nominated Marion Milne – presents the case that the Duke went beyond merely sympathising with the enemy to actively collaborating.
